Welcome to the Short Story section of my website.

To increase my profile and, hopefully, to show my writing versatility a bit more to agents and publishers alike, I have started entering short story competitions. As the competition rules state that the submitted works must not be published anywhere else before the judges have made their decision I cannot publish all of them on this page.

However, as each competition announces their results, and subject to any other stipulations they make should I be lucky enough to be placed in any competition, I intend to publish part of each story here. I’ll be putting the first twenty-five percent of each story in this section as, and when, I can and I’ll update you with the results and information in the newsletter page.

I am writing a number of other short stories which are not going to be competition entries and as each one is finished I’ll add the first part of those here too.

I hope you like the extracts from the short stories and I would be delighted to hear your comments or reviews. If you are writing a review of the short stories please mention the name of the story in your review - just so I can make sure I put it on the correct page!
